Etihad Airways has launched a new TV campaign featuring its new flagship Airbus A380 and our very own Nicole Kidman.
The commercial features the Australian actress and Hollywood star in Etihad’s revolutionary cabins onboard its new A380, being served drinks in The Lobby, relaxing in the First Apartment and falling into bed in one of the three rooms of the Residence.
It also showcases Abu Dhabi as a modern destination for travellers, including the architectural splendour of the futuristic-looking Louvre Abu Dhabi.
Etihad’s A380 Residence suite, described as being better than first class, is the only private living space available on commercial airline flights.
Miami-based businessman, Gino Bertuccio, was the first passenger to fly in the world’s most exclusive airline seat. Mr Bertuccio flew from London’s Heathrow Airport to Abu Dhabi on Saturday – a one-way flight in this class cost more than $24,000 in Decmber 2014.
The Residence is a three-room class at the front of the plane – a step-up from first class – and features a living room, a bedroom complete with a double bed and a private bathroom with shower. The suite’s living room features a two-seat leather couch, a dining table and a private minibar. Both the living room and bedroom feature LCD television screens for in-flight entertainment.

Passengers in the Residence have access to a concierge team at the airport and an on-board butler who takes care of their needs throughout the flight.
Nicole Kidman first starred in narrative-style TV commercials for luxury brand Chanel No.5. The three-minute perfume commercial was directed by Baz Lurhamn.
The Etihad ‘Flying Reimagined’ commercial first aired in Australia on March 15. A 60-second version of the TV add was uploaded to YouTube on March 14.
The Abu Dhabi- based airline began operations in 2003 and is now one of the three biggest airlines in the Middle East. Last year, the airline carried 14.8 million passengers.
The Airbus A380 is the world’s largest airliner. Etihad’s A380s carry up to 498 passengers, with two residence guests, nine first class, 70 business class and 417 economy class passengers.
