DOHA: The new QNB Stars League season will officially kick off today with a colourful opening ceremony.
The ceremony will be attended by top officials of the Qatar Stars League Management (QSLM), team players, club coaches and members of the local media.
The high profile opening ceremony will also have coaches of the teams addressing the media ahead of the start of the new season on August 4.
This year, the QNB Stars League will kick off a few weeks earlier than usual to accommodate the Qatar national team’s international assignments that includes the 2019 Asian Cup to be played in January next year.

Al Gharafa are currently playing a Friendly Tournament in Oman where Al Ahli are also training for the new season.
