The Caltex Socceroos midfielder was a regular in the Queens Park Rangers side, playing 35 of their 46 Championship matches and three Cup games.
He found the net just once, scoring the fourth goal in a 5-1 rout of Rotherham in mid-March.
Following that game though, QPR went into free-fall, losing seven of their last eight matches to eventually finish 18th, just two points clear of the relegation zone.

He will be a key member of the Caltex Socceroos squad to face Saudi Arabia in a crucial FIFA World Cup qualifier at the Adelaide Oval on June 8.
Following that, Russia beckons for the 2017 Confederations Cup, where Australia will meet Germany, Cameroon and Chile in group play.
