Melbourne Victory attacking midfielder Fahid Ben Khalfallah is determined to his end time at the club with a Grand Final triumph.
The former Victory Medal winner, who confirmed his impending exit during the week, signed off at AAMI Park with a classy assist in his side’s narrow semi final defeat of Brisbane Roar.
“When you play for a club like this you want to win and to carry the trophy would be the best thing,” Ben Khalfallah told Fox Sports after the win.
“I was a bit sad at the end [of the semi final] because to play for this club is a bit special.
“I hope I’m going to leave this club with another title and we’ll see after that what I’m going to do.”
Having led the premiers in two of their three meetings this term, Ben Khalfallah believes Victory have nothing to fear when the Big Blue takes centre stage at Allianz Stadium.
“I think we have a really good team and we’re not going to be scared by anything,” the veteran said.
“We lost three times against them [but] it was close every time.
“Even if they were the best team this season, in one game, in a Grand Final, we will we see.
“Next week is going to be a big battle.”
