Police calling for witnesses of Calwell home invasion

Police are looking for two men who threatened residents of a Calwell home with a handgun on Thursday afternoon.

ACT Policing are seeking witnesses to the home invasion which occurred at Zincke Close around lunch time.

Police arrived at the house around 1.15pm after two men had forced their way in, threatening the residents and demanding cash. They left empty handed before police arrived.

The two men were described as Pacific Islander or Maori in appearance, in their late 20s to early 30s, tanned and both of medium build. One of the men had a sleeve tattoo of a black lion head on his left upper forearm.

Police believed the incident was targeted and there was no threat to public safety.

Police are urging anyone who may have any information that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference 6054772. Information can be provided anonymously.
