Eight South Korean and U.S. fighter jets swept through the sky of South Korea on Saturday, simulating bombings of enemy targets in a show of force against North Korea’s threats of additional military action, the South Korean military said.
Four F-16 fighter jets from the United States Forces Korea and four South Korean F-15K combat jets joined the overhead combat drill earlier in the day, an official from South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said.

“It was a flight aimed to show off the military might of South Korea and U.S.’ combined air force power,” the official said.
The exercise took a flight course which could alarm North Korea and shows the allies’ resolute determination that any kind of North Korean provocation will not be tolerated on the peninsula, he said. (Yonhap)
